Local artist illustrates the Honduran coup through graphic novel

This past summer, on June 28, the President of Honduras was ousted in a military coup d’etat, with Roberto Micheletti taking the place of President Manuel Zelaya. New elections are planned for November 29, but neither Zelaya nor Michelleti is constitutionally allowed to run for the Presidency. Inside Honduras, opinion is divided about the constitutional crisis and Zelaya’s return.
To help explain what is happening in the Central American country, local artist Dan Archer has created a graphic history of the coup. Archer describes himself as a creator of non-fiction, journalistic comics... and he teaches at Stanford's Creative Writing Department.
